Station Fire

Well, the rain awoke me up this morning at 3:30 am. The newscaster said that we would have a break from the rain until the afternoon. So much for the break. We are fortunate though that we are not directly affected because we are not too close to the burn areas. It has been raining here since Sunday, and it is expected to continue raining until later this week. Now, I like the rain. It can be so calming, but I don't like driving in it. It seems that when it rains that people forget how to drive or maybe because it is so hard to see where you are going. Sometimes, though it feels like our house sits under a waterfall. It is as if someone has a giant bucket and is pouring the water on top of us.

I thought that I would share some of the pictures taken from the top of our street of the station fire that was the mass fire that burned 160,577 acres. The people who live near the fire damaged areas are the ones who are now experiencing mud slides and floods.

  1. Hi and thank you for stopping over at my blog. Love the aprons and your dog. We were going to go to Vegas today for a turn around trip and because of the rain decided not to go. It really poured yesterday.
